Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Customer Appreciation Day!
We are happy that so many of our customers were able to participate in the event and we hope that you enjoyed it. We’ve heard from many people that the event was a success, but we’ve also heard from many of our regular customers who were unable to take advantage of what was offered. While most of our customers come from within One Ashburton Place, the State House and the Saltonstall Building, it seems that our Customer Appreciation Day was perceived by many to be open to all state employees. We regret that because of the influx of people from other state buildings our regular customers were not able to enjoy this event that was meant expressly for them. Because of this, we have decided that in future years we will offer our regular customers a loyalty punch card similar to the coffee punch cards used at the café. The loyalty cards will be made available during a one week period next summer, and during this time customers will have the opportunity to accumulate punches that will then allow them admission to our customer appreciation day. We hope that this will help to ensure that the Ashburton Café regulars are guaranteed participation in our customer appreciation event.

Q. Hey Ashburton Cafe, what's with the flimsy containers?
A: Ashburton Café has recently made a commitment to ‘go green.’ Our new containers are a more environmentally –friendly  alternative to the Styrofoam that we’ve used in the past.  While they may not feel as sturdy  as the old containers, this new version is compostable, which means that our waste makes less of an impact on the environment. We hope that you’ll join us in our commitment to helping improve our planet’s health.
