The following are the policies we have
established for the collection and use of email and postal
addresses. Metro Food Service is aware of consumer concern over
possible unauthorized use of their email address and postal
address and will do everything possible to protect the privacy
of our visitors without hindering the services we provide to
them. Metro Food Service respects your right to privacy. We will
not sell, rent, or loan any identifiable information regarding
our customers to any third party. Any information you give us is
held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in
ways to which you have not consented.
Use of Information
Metro Food Service will not collect any
personal information about individuals except when specifically
and knowingly provided by such individuals. Examples of such
information are: name, postal address, email address, phone
number, birthdays, school, and product commentary.
Metro Food Service uses such information to help target special
offers and to help us determine what new features and promotions
to develop. Metro Food Service does not sell or share any
information at the individual customer level.
Parental Review
Parents of children under the age of 13 have
the right under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
(COPPA) to review and have deleted their child's personal
information. While Metro Food Service does not re-market the
information we collect online about our customers - both adult
and children- we urge parents to review their children's
internet activities and assure you that we will make every
reasonable effort to protect the privacy of all our customers.
Ban on Conditioning Participation Based on
Information Collection
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
(COPPA) makes it so that website operators cannot condition a
child's participation in an activity on the child providing more
personal information than is reasonably necessary for the
activity.
Changes in Policies
From time to time we may use customer
information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed
in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at
some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our
website and notify you of these changes and provide you with the
ability to opt-out of these new uses. If you are concerned about
how your information is used, you should check back at our
website periodically.
