MetroCard
Program Rules
This program is both a loyalty program and a gift
card/stored-value program. Use of the card and/or participation
in the program constitutes acceptance of all program rules:
1. Offer good at
participating Metro Cafe retail locations.
2. The card is not redeemable for cash.
3. The card will not be replaced if lost, stolen or used without
your permission.
4. Cost to participate in the
MetroCard
rewards program is
$1.00. There is no charge to participate when the card is used
as a stored value card and an initial amount of $10.00
or more is placed on the card.
5. Purchases are required to earn points. Rewards accrued during
a transaction may only be redeemed on your next visit.
6. Card must be presented at time of purchase to earn points and
to redeem rewards.
7. No points will be issued retroactively.
8. No points from previous loyalty programs can be applied to
this program.
9. You will earn one point for every dollar spent. Every
time you use your
MetroCard
, your receipt will show the points
credited to your account.
10. Points may be earned only by the
MetroCard
holder who pays
the check.
11. Points will not be issued on the sale of
MetroCard
Gift
Cards. Points will only be issued on the redemption of gift
cards.
12. When you obtain enough points to earn a reward, the reward
will automatically be printed on your receipt. You do not need
to present a receipt to receive a reward.
13. Rewards are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and
must be redeemed for the selected items. You must use your $5
credit entirely at the time of sale, no cash back will be given
on loyalty points.
14. Redeemed reward will be the lowest value item within the
check.
15. A maximum of 4 rewards may be redeemed during one visit.
16. Voided items will reduce the points by the voided amount
until the point total reaches 0.
17. Points cannot go negative.
18. Points cannot be transferred between cards.
19. Points will not be issued on tax paid.
20. If the program is experiencing technical difficulties, Metro
Food Service is not responsible for points unable to be accrued
or redeemed during this time.
21. Beginning 11/01/07,
MetroCard
users will need to
be registered to qualify for points and rewards.
22. Beginning 11/01/07, all
MetroCard
users will
receive five reward dollars on their card after passing 100 points.
Points, at that time, will be reset to zero and the cycle begins
again.
23. Each reward dollar has the equivalent purchase power of
$1.00 U.S. at all participating Metro Cafe retail
locations.
24. Not all Metro Food Service locations may participate in the
MetroCard
program.
25. Reward dollars will expire 30 days after date of issuance. A
maximum of 25 reward dollars may be redeemed during a single
visit.
26. Beginning e11/1/07, all unregistered
MetroCards
may accrue points up
to 400 points. These points will be converted to rewards when
they are registered.
27. Vendor quarterly promotions will be sent via email to
registered members and will generally expire 30 days after
issuance.
28. Metro Food Service is not responsible for lost, returned,
misdirected, undeliverable email or other correspondence.
29. Metro Food Service can, at is discretion, modify the program
rewards or substitute rewards of comparable value without
notice.
30. Metro Food Service reserves the right to discontinue this
program at any time. In the event that this program is
discontinued, members will be allowed to redeem any rewards that
they have already been issued, within the stated expiration
date.
31. Metro Food Service reserves the right to discontinue
membership privileges and void a member's point balance and
rewards if any unauthorized points are earned or redeemed, or if
there is any unauthorized use of the program.
32. Reward points will expire 12 months after the first day of
non-use of the card or upon the stated expiration date. Metro
Food Service also reserves the right to discontinue membership
privileges and/or a member's point balance, if that member's
account has shown no activity for a period of 12 months.
33. Employees of Metro Food Service and their immediate families
are not eligible to participate.
34.
MetroCard
gift
cards/stored-value cards may be used at all participating Metro
Food Service retail locations.
35. Once money is placed on the card it can never be redeemed
for cash.
36. Cash cannot be transferred between cards.
37. A card cannot have a negative value. Any money needed beyond
the amount of the card to pay for a purchase will require
another form of payment to be made at the time of purchase.
38. Any returns or voids for items paid for with a stored-value
or gift card will have the amount on the card returned directly
to the card. No cash will be given.
39. Gift cards will expire after seven years from date of issue
and any remaining dollar value will be voided or as required by
law.
40. If the program is experiencing technical difficulties, gift
card and stored-value cards may not be able to be issued or
redeemed.
41. If a guest chooses to redeem rewards, all available reward
dollars will be applied to that transaction.
